How to adjust x,y,z acceleration when device not quite level

Hi, We have multiple 1044 3/3/3 devices that are glued to floors as level on each axis as possible. At idle a reasonably level device will look like x: -0.0038 y: 0.00455 z: 0.00122 (reduced by 1) When the floor is shaken, the readings are displayed in a typical acceleration by time graph and for ea...

Re: Phidgets Spatial 3/3/3 on RaspberryPi Detach event - ESD

Hi, don't know if this will help but we are running many raspberry pi 3/bs with a 1044 located close by and were getting unexpected detaches. We found that this was caused (in our case) because the daemon that had the 1044 attached occasionally did a print to stdout :o). Once removed, problem went a...

Is this question on the wrong forum? Should I moved it to another where it might get an answer?

Clarification on 1044 compass calibration

Hi, We are looking to deploy quite a few 1044 in static locations with multiple per building. I've read the recommended procedure for calibrating the compass but have some questions: 1) Does the 1044 need to be situated at the location of use for the calibration to be accurate? Currently I have done...

Recommended way to continually calculate acceleration: 1044

Hi, I'm using a 1044 hooked up to a PC running Linux. I would like to continually monitor acceleration on all 3 axis. The 1044 is laying flat and still. If I attach the 1044 at a data rate of 32 it is recording a lot of data for a static device. This seems to me to be noise as the device is not movi...
