Re: DAQ 1301 disconnecting issue

Removing the VINT cable from the duct and letting it run in the open panel seems to have solved the issue. I am going to make up a few shielded VINT cables so I can hopefully put them back in the duct to clean the panel up. I was surprised because the only other wires in there were 24vdc signal wire...

DAQ 1301 disconnecting issue

I am noticing that one of my DAQ 1301’s is detaching occasionally. Any ideas on what could be causing that? It is showing up in the latest version of my logfile and I have checked everything I can think of for a cause. The wiring seems good, all connections are solid and I have pulled the VINT cable...

Re: Photosensor and DA1301 Digital Input

To avoid BBQ'ing my Phidgets, does the signal wire from that sensor go to the black, white or red lead on the VINT cable when I connect it to the DAQ1000?
Thanks,
Dan

Re: Photosensor and DA1301 Digital Input

Ooops. I just noticed that the output of the sensor is "0-5volts" in the very first line of it's description. I'll connect it to the DAQ1000 and read it's condition there.
Please correct me if I am going about that wrong.

Photosensor and DA1301 Digital Input

Hi, I was hoping someone could explain how I get my DA1301 to read the 3525 photosensors. I have 24vdc power to the blue and brown of transmitter and reciever, but when connected to the DA1301 I don't get a response. I connected the black from the reciever to the + on a DA1301 terminal that has a 24...

Re: Keeping VINT hubs over ethernet stable and connected

Separate power supply made no difference. Still dropping stepper drive connections randomly.

Re: Keeping VINT hubs over ethernet stable and connected

It has been mostly the steppers detaching, but the other VINT devices have detached occasionally as well. Most critically, the 16x Digital Input VINT that reads the limit switches. Steppers still working while the limit switches are not is a bit problematic. I bought and installed 5 USB VINT hub0000...

Re: Keeping VINT hubs over ethernet stable and connected

I put a DC amp clamp meter on the line feeding 9 of the stepper drives and ran the homing routine, then sent the motors all to another position so they would all be driven at once at the speed that they will be running at and the amps drawn didn't exceed 5.6. It seems to me that there is still over ...

Keeping VINT hubs over ethernet stable and connected

Hi, I have a project with 5 VINT wireless hubs connected through Ethernet cable and it is all working, but not consistently. There are 18 stepper drives and 18 limit switches connected to 16x Digital Inputs along with a bunch of other things I haven't connected yet. It basically has to run a 'home' ...

How to wait until everything is attached in VBNET

Hi, I have a project with 5 VINT wireless hubs connected via ethernet with a ton of assorted Phidgets connected. Any suggestions on how I can have the program pause (I'll put a progress bar or something up) until everything is attached before continuing? This is only an issue when I am trying to 'ho...
