Re: PhidgetSBC with docker

If you move to a networked scenario: Over the network, "device discovery" is based on mDNS which is the local subnet only. If you need to access network devices outside your subnet (and they are reachable) you need to access them explicitly using IP addresses, you can't do a discovery For ...

Re: Phidgets for the Serious Hobbyist

A few comments Phidget WIFI hub would (could) work as "fieldIO" especially if it supported something like modbus - then any existing HMI's could control that - BUT - the HMI's are not cheap GUI's for python - free and great software https://www.qt.io/qt-for-python And Visual Studio Communi...

Clip on AC CT's

Hi It would be nice if we could have a range of clip on AC CT's - the ones currently sold require you to thread the wire thru - I want to monitor mains AC power into my house - and I can't de-power the grid side of things easily...

Can we just use a regular clipon CT?

Re: Access an Ethernet HUB on a different Subnet

So apparently the Phidget control panel uses Bonjour to find the devices.

Bonjour does not span subnets

My VPN solution is using PFSense and I'm trying the avaphi package which is a "Bonjour Gateway" and allows spanning with Bonjour.

Re: Backup power for SBC

There are a bunch of devices that perform these kind of functions for RPi They supply 5V From that get a 5V to 9V DC-DC booster board and then power the SBC the RPi UPS's are available and the DC-DC modules are available - then make a housing? Other option would be to just use a stack of primary cel...

New User - New Hardware - Cant update FW on RTD Phidget

Hi - I have just RXd my first batch of hardware

I went thru and updated FW on the hub - and on the RTD Phidget.

However the RTD Phidget is still showing red - but right clicking only offers "downgrade".

Thank you!
