From the log it looks like there are 2 detaches happening - are the 1012 and 1067 both detaching at the same time?

I'm not sure I didn't think they both were but I will check on Monday. Thanks for the quick help!

I was not the one who wired this device, but I just checked and it looks like the diodes are missing. The ones that are shown to be across the solenoids. I was not able to get any disconnects stress testing the inputs, but when I toggled one of the outputs a few times with out activating any of the inputs I was able to get disconnects. How likely do you think the missing diodes are the cause?

If 1067 is disconnecting as well, it's EMI. Maybe wiring with usb cables tightly zip-tied in? Installing the diodes might help a little.

I would recommend you put plenty of ferrites on USB cables, from hub to pc, hub to devices, and the hub-5v power supply line. No reason they can't put 5 ferrites along the length of every cable. Also, if you aren't using our USB cables, there could be issues with shielding construction of the cables.

So I ended up ditching the USB hub and connected the phidgets directly to the computer. (Originally I had the hub so that I only had one USB cord to route out of the control box.) For the past couple of days I haven't any sporadic detaches. Before this I had tried three different hubs and with each one I got detaches. So it looks like there was some weird interaction between the hubs and the computer.
