The maximum spec for USB in general is 5 meters. This is because the USB protocol begins to time out a lengths longer than that. There are USB extenders/repeaters on the market but we've had customers report stability issues using those.
If you need to use longer cables, you can use the MOT1102 instead of the MOT0109. You can easily use a 10m Phidget cable from your SBC4 to the MOT1102.
