What equipment do I need?
I have a 4A stepper motor(Bipolar) that I want to control via Filemaker Phidgets Plugin.

I am currently manually controlling speed by no of steps and a freq generator
I also want to add Limit Stops so I can set the motor to either stop completely or reverse direct. nee 2 one at end.

effectively I want to tell the stepper to move a certain distance then return or stop after say 5 passes.

Please advise

As far as I know, the 24U plugin supports all of our newest devices, so I would recommend the STC1003 - 4A Stepper Phidget.

As for the limit switches, it sort of depends on the physical setup of how you want them to be triggered. We have a variety of different shapes and styles of switch that you can find here. You can wire the switches into the unused ports on the VINT hub that you connect your STC1003 to (by cutting a Phidget Cable in half and wiring the black and white wires into the switch).
