Hello
I have a mac book pro with OS 10.15.3. I just downloaded the Phidget 2.1.8 and tried as well with 2.1.9 and got the same issue. When double cliking onto the Phidget, it does not chow any data and say the following message : Attached Nothing.
Can you please help?

Do you have any other programs running that may be trying to open the Phidget? A Phidget can only be opened locally by one process at any given time, so if you have a piece of code or a program trying to open the Phidget then this is the message you'll get when you try to open it in the control panel.

This message can also be an indicator that the Phidget is damaged. Can you try running it on another computer or with our newest libraries to rule out this possibility?

What kind of Phidget are you using? Is there a reason you're using the old phidget21 libraries instead of phidget22? Does the mac list the Phidget under attached USB devices?
