InterfaceKit 1018_1 wiring switches to numbered inputs

Hi,
I have a phidgetInterfaceKit 1018_1 which I want to use with a keypad I have. The keypad has 16 keys and 8 pins. When a key is pressed a unique pair of pins is connected as a switch.
My problem is that the only way to wire a switch seems to be through a numbered input and ground and I can't wire the keypad like this. Is there a way to wire a switch through two numbered inputs? Or even some breadboard setup that could allow me to read all the keys?
