I've just taken delivery of a brand new Vint and REL1000_0 but am experiencing the same fatal exception error time and time again when I download and install the Phidget22 management tool. (see picture, attached)

It works for 8-10 seconds, fully recognising the hardware, then I get a "fatal exception error" message appearing every time.

I have the latest Windows fully updated and everything else is up to speed but I'm running into a brick wall.

I've scoured the internet and your website for suggestions but cannot find a fix anywhere. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated!

Can you try deleting the c:\Users\Gary\AppData\Local\Phidgets_Inc folder and then run the control panel again?

Can you make sure the control panel isn't already running in the system tray before you start it up? It may have already started with the system - I wonder about this because it says the file is in use.
